I'm sure like many of you, I have definitely been convinced to buy a few products off TikTok but we're they actually work it? He is my list of products that I've bought and my review of them.
If you have dandruff, there may be better options out there BUT that's not why I bought this. I bought this because of the ingredient Ketoconazole. Dandruff is caused by yeast, which is a form of fungi, but this can also cause acne as well! Fungal acne tends to present itself as very small red bumps that can be caused by trapped moisture or even diet changes but this product can help with fungal acne!
I use this like a regular facemask and put this all over may face (I only get fungal acne on my forehead but put it all over just in case). I leave it on for 10-15 and then just wash it off afterwards. I found that my acne started to go away after a few uses and turn back to this product often. I found that if I try to use it 2 days in a row, it starts to irritate my skin but every other day works great for me!
I took a picture recently and noticed a few new wrinkles (doesn't help that I just turned 26 and feel old...) and I started to freak out a little bit. Don't get me wrong, wrinkles are just a natural part of getting older and if you embrace them, you are a lot better than me but I also think that it's ok to want to get rid of them too. Now the most mainstream way of doing this is, of course, botox but if you don't have that kind of money to blow, these Frownie patches are another option! You wet the patches and then stick them on your skin for the night and the idea is that over time, the patches work to smooth and lift wrinkle to leave a smoother appearance. I have used them twice now and have found that they work pretty well on your forehead but am still testing them out for crows feet.
Have you heard of sluggling? It's a newer TikTok trend that I have been seeing all over the place lately! The idea is that after you do your entire face wash routine that afterwards you "slug" your face with a heavier product to lock in all the products that you used. I saw a lot of different options that people were using to do this and it just seemed like they put on a TON of product and I wasn't sure how you sleep like that. Mikayla Nogueira (one of my fave TikTok beauty influencers!) tried this healing ointment to slug her face with and the results we're too good... so I bought it.
The first time I tried this, I had a couple little pimples starting to form so I thought it would be a good time to test this new technique. At first I put WAY too much on but i wiped some of it off and then went to sleep. Next morning I woke up and all the redness from those 2 pimples were gone!
This is one of the best ways that I've found to keep your eyebrows looking bushy and full ALL DAY LONG! Now I realize that not everybody is into this type of look but the brow soap is the only product I've used that keeps my brows looking throughout my day. I bought this back in April 2021 and am still using them to this day; same purchase too! They last a really long time and for only 8 dollars, you can't beat that. You simple wet the soap and comb your brows up. (Be careful not to use too much product or your eyebrows my have some soap residue.) Highly recommend!
A typical lash lift can be anywhere from $50-100... but you can do it at home 5 times for only $20! That was exactly my thinking when I started looking into these products but it was the TikToks that I saw that convinced me to do it. I've used this product twice now and ABSOLUTELY love it! I already have naturally long eyelashes (thanks mom and dad!) but lately they had gone flat and I wanted to do something about it. This product has lifted them so nicely and I will most likely keep buying this product to keep it up!
I'm always looking for more products to try on Tiktok but are there any products that you've tried that have worked for you? Let me know down below!
